3) Acidic in aqueous solutions
4) No loss of hydrogen fluoride in dry air; hydrogen fluoride 
    released when absorbing moisture in moist air

Usage: electrolyte in the preparation of fluorine; in the manufacture 
of anhydrous hydrogen fluoride and potassium fluoride; in engraving 
of optical glass and etched glass; used as welding flux of various 
metals; wood preservative and catalyst for benzene alkylation.
